  • Indian Oil has issued a Tender for interested investors for construction of the 130 KW grid solar plant to be sited at Nagpur, Maharashtra.

The Indian Oil Corporation issued a tender for the construction and utilization of a 130 kW grid-connected rooftop solar power plant. The plant will be located at the company's can filling plant in Maharashtra, Nagpur to be specific. The range of work for the chosen developers will involve the engineering, construction, design, and commissioning of the rooftop solar plant.

The chosen developers will be obligated to offer detailed operation and maintenance (O&M) for a year, starting from the date of launch. The winning bidders will have 4 months to conclude the construction of the solar plant. Also, the developers will be obligated to offer 4 years of maintenance services for the rooftop plant, which is after completing the first AMC contract.

The final date for bid submission is slated for 26 December 2019, the same date with the techno-commercial bids opening. Bidders are expected accompany their bids with an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 85 thousand. Sometime in October, IOCL issued a tender requesting for bids from bidders who are eligible for the launch of a 170 kW rooftop solar power plant at the company’s Terminal in Pradesh. In November also, the company issued a tender for the launch of 600 kW rooftop solar powered systems at the company’s Gujarat Refinery. They are plans by the company to increase their solar power energy in the next coming months.
