The projects span 47 acres and are equipped with more than 20,000 solar panels. ComEd expects to have 100 such projects and serve 25,000 customers in its service territory by the end of 2023. SunVest, meanwhile, anticipates to reach 57 MW of community solar projects developed in northern Illinois by the same time.
