Ignitis Renewables has actually safeguarded grid connection for a 252MW solar project in Lithuania's Jonava area.

Ignitis Renewables Projektai, a subsidiary of Ignitis Renewables, which is had by Ignitis Group, has signed a letter of intent with electricity transmission system operator Litgrid AB for the connection.

The solar park is intended to be created as well as start creating electricity by 2025.

Project execution also requires obtaining over the following few months a permit to create the electricity generation capacity from National Energy Regulatory Council (NERC).
