Ichigo finishes 3-MW solar plant in Japan's Miyazaki prefecture
- Japanese realty and renewables investor Ichigo Inc (TYO:2337) stated today it has started the operation of a 2.96-MW solar power plant in Miyazaki Prefecture.
The photovoltaic (PV) power center, called Ichigo Miyakonojo Takazakicho Tsumagirishima ECO Power Plant, is comprised of 9,130 panels mounted on 39,991 square metres (430,459.54 sq ft) of still land within the Tsumagirishima Industrial Complex in Miyakonojo City.
Ichigo approximates that the solar farm will certainly be able to create 3,562,000 kWh each year, sufficient to meet the yearly power demand of 1,187 local houses.
The plant is Ichigo's 59th functional solar farm in Japan. With this new enhancement, its capacity gets to 166.43 MW, the firm claimed.
Generally, the group has a Japanese portfolio of 67 power plants with a combined capacity of 199 MW. This consists of both operational as well as in-development projects held by its yieldco Ichigo Green Infrastructure Fund Investment Corp (TYO:9282).
