Helexia to install 9.1-MWp of PV arrays atop Spanish hypermarket stores
- Helexia, a unit of French renewables firm Voltalia SA's (EPA: VLTSA), has won a contract to mount 9.1 MWp of roof solar arrays at some places of Spanish hypermarket chain Alcampo, the latter claimed last week.
Under the arrangement, 9 of Alcampo's stores will be equipped with photovoltaic or pv (PV) systems, including carport solar installations, that are expected to jointly create 13.3 GWh of power each year. Their setup will support the firm's objective of accomplishing carbon nonpartisanship by 2043.
The output of the nine PV arrays will offset greater than 3,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions every year, Alcampo estimates
Helexia will certainly start work with the project in 2023. The French firm has been doing business in Spain because 2019 and also has actually so far commissioned 20 projects in the Iberian country, with an additional 100 MWp intended to be developed in the coming years.
Previously in November, Helexia mounted the panels for three out of 20 roof solar systems amounting to 25 MW for Auchan Retail in Hungary.
