- Harmony Energy powers up 35-MW/70-MWh battery system in North Yorkshire, UK, with Tesla technology. Expanding to 312.5 MW/625 MWh total capacity.
Harmony Energy has successfully energised a 35-MW/70-MWh battery energy storage system in North Yorkshire, UK. The Rusholme BESS was constructed by Tesla and will be operated through Tesla's Autobidder platform. The facility is expected to be fully operational in all markets by early August 2024.
This project marks the sixth energised by Harmony Energy, bringing their total operational capacity to 312.5 MW/625 MWh. Two other battery systems, the Wormald Green and Hawthorn Pit, are currently under construction and scheduled to be powered up this quarter. Harmony Energy continues to expand its presence in the UK's energy storage market.
