GSPP Lights Up Biggest Solar Project in California

Green Street Power Partners has completed its largest solar project to date in Kings County, California. The 26-MWDC Westlands Almond Solar project is expected to generate 57 million kWh of electricity in its first year and over 1.8 billion kWh over its 35 years of usable life. Project financing was provided by Live Oak Bank and Nelnet Renewable Energy, and the energy will be sold to end user Amy’s Kitchen. Agrisolar, or land used for both agriculture and solar energy generation, will be employed at the site, with sheep grazing used for vegetation management in future seasons.
