GRS turns on 39-MWp solar plant in Australia

- Spain-based EPC professional GRS announced on Tuesday it has connected to the grid a 39-MWp photovoltaic (PV) plant in Australia's New South Wales state.
Called Molong Solar Farm, the plant is included 89,088 PV modules placed on 1,024 solar trackers across a 80-hectares (197.7 acres) location. The firm developed it in support of Amp Energy.
Initial power from the plants was admired last week, which was a preliminary action for the appointing as well as grid-connection process. The solar park is expected to produce around 78,000 MWh per year, adequate power to fulfill the need of regarding 11,000 Australian residences and balance out some 53,585 tonnes of co2 (CO2) annually.
Molong Solar is the fourth solar farm that GRS attaches to Australia's power network. The Spanish company states it has 550 MW of awarded tasks in the country.
