The photovoltaic or pv (PV) project is the EPC specialist's eighth project in Portugal as well as the second-largest after the 48.5-MW Insua solar farm was commissioned in 2022.

The new plant will cover a location of over a 140 hectares (345.9 acres) in the Penamacor town, in Portugal's region of Castelo Branco. GRS claimed that more than 124,000 huge bifacial modules would be used.

Spanish firm Ingenia Solar Energy (ISE) made the Penamacor project, while PV Hardware, also part of Gransolar Group, manufactured the Monoline 2V+ trackers.

The solar park will be linked to the general public solution electricity grid RESP. As soon as in operation, it will certainly be capable of generating over 150,000 MWh of clean energy annually, GRS said.

Commissioning of the solar park is anticipated to happen in 2024. After that, GRS will give operation as well as maintenance (O&M) solutions for a minimum of 2 years.
