French renewable energy company GreenYellow has secured a COP-172-billion deal to refinance 85 MWp of solar projects in Colombia. The transaction with Banco de Bogota SA will benefit a portfolio of five utility-scale projects and two self-consumption schemes in various departments.
The non-recourse loan will be used to refinance existing debt related to the assets, which consist of over 130,000 solar panels generating electricity for contractors and off-takers in different industries. GreenYellow has invested COP 310 billion in developing the portfolio and has over 118 MWp of installed solar PV capacity in Colombia, with more than 600 projects in the country.
