Greenvolt gets half of 243-MW solar portfolio in Portugal

• Portuguese renewables firm Greenvolt - Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI: GVOLT) has inked an offer to buy a 50% stake in a 243-MW Portuguese solar portfolio presently under growth by Infraventus.

The procurement formalises a calculated collaboration between the companies and also accelerates Greenvolt's commitment to the growth of solar (PV) projects.

According to the purchaser, concerning 160 MW of the 243 MW are in an innovative stage of growth. The solar portfolio is spread out in 24 reduced environmental impact renewable projects clusters.

"This partnership enhances GreenVolt's position in the promo and also development of renewable energy projects in Europe as well as accelerates its growth in the Portuguese market with small-scale projects, which substantially reduces its time to market, supplying in the short term more than 240 MW of power generated from eco-friendly sources in Portugal" added Greenvolt's CEO Joao Manso Neto.
