Greenskies Renewable Energy is acquired and renamed by JLC
- JLC Infrastructure has announced a successful acquisition of Greenskies Renewable Energy – a utility and commercial PV system developer.
Under the terms of the deal, the new unit named Greenskies Clean Energy is acquiring most of the former company’s staff and assets. The new firm will also specialize on green power projects such as solar-plus-storage and other solutions for alternative energy.
Greenskies has already installed ground mounted, carport and roof mounted photovoltaic plants totaling to more than 350 megawatts. The 100kilowatt-80megawatt systems have been deployed throughout 19 US states. A 100-megawatt PV portfolio is scheduled for completion by mid-2021. A pipeline exceeding 500 megawatts of capacity is being currently developed at different stages.
The solar developer’s clients are power utilities, municipalities, educational institutions, as well as major retail and technology firms. Additionally, the company renders operation and maintenance services to PV plant owners.
Beside the recent transaction, JLC has invested in Sustainability Partners’ projects, including energy-saving and small scale utility ventures. The UK-based company serves the public sector, including MUSH clients.
