Greenbacker purchases 50 MW of NY solar projects from Hecate

- Lasting facilities investor Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company LLC (GREC) on Monday said it has acquired utility-scale solar projects totalling 50 MW, all located in Greene County, in the state of New York.

The vendor is Chicago-based renewables designer Hecate Energy LLC, which formerly offered 2 20-MW solar projects to GREC that are arranged to browse the web in late 2022. Greenbacker additionally has agreements with Hecate to create more solar projects in New york city.
The freshly obtained growths are anticipated to become operational in 2023, supplying adequate power for an approximated 9,500 houses. They all have lasting agreements with investment-grade off-takers.
Greenbacker claims it has a portfolio of over 2.6 GW of assets including projects that are yet to be built.
