Greenbacker Bets on Solar-Storage Developer Telyon

Greenbacker has taken a significant minority stake in Telyon, a renewable energy assets developer based in Connecticut, to support the growth of its current and future solar, storage, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure projects. Telyon has over 400 MW of near-term development opportunities and a pipeline of over 1.2 GW. In June, Greenbacker acquired its largest standalone battery storage asset, a 30-MW/120-MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Imperial County, California. The new funds will be used to increase headcount and brand awareness, and to execute its growing pipeline of projects.
