GREEN ENERGY EXPO & ROMENVIROTEC 2026: The 3rd Edition Brings Sustainable Technologies to an International Level

March 3–5, 2026 is the announced date for the 3rd edition of Romania’s most important trade fair dedicated to green energy, environment and technologies for sustainable communities – a landmark event for the entire industry.

Starting with the 2026 edition, the platform takes the natural step toward internationalization, strengthening its position as a strategic hub for innovation and regional cooperation.

• A strategic partnership with the Chisinau Regional Center of the Romanian Environmental Association officially opens the doors to the Republic of Moldova.

• Official Pavilion of the Republic of Moldova – a regional cooperation hub in the fields of energy and environment.

• The Congress of Mayors and Local Administration of Romania – now twice as large, with an expanded hall, networking area and guided tours of exhibition stands for mayors from across the country.

• Over 500 mayors and representatives of central and local administrations will explore immediately applicable solutions for their communities.

• Individual meetings in the VIP Center, facilitated by a dedicated concierge team.

• Public Administration Gala 2026 – recognizing excellence in local governance and sustainable community development.

• Smart City Industry Awards Gala (SCIA, 10th edition) – the flagship event dedicated to recognizing the projects, institutions, and leaders transforming Romania’s urban communities through technology, vision and collaboration.

• A reinvented agenda: fast financing, resilient communities, AI, and digital security.

• 4 main stages dedicated to each sector: Main Stage, Green Energy Stage, Waste Management Stage, and Water Management Stage + 2 rooms dedicated to bilateral meetings and workshops.

  Officially inaugurated in the presence of representatives from the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, theMinistry of Environment, the Ministry of Energy, and the Department for Sustainable Development of the Romanian Government, the event brought together industry leaders and provided real solutions for placing the green transition on the innovation map.
  
  Over 500 brands from 4 key industries presented thousands of innovative and sustainable technologies: from green energy and intelligent recycling systems to water, waste, and smart city projects – concrete steps were taken here toward a cleaner world.

• Green Energy Expo – The area dedicated to renewable energies (solar, wind, geothermal, green hydrogen, energy efficiency) doubled compared to 2024, featuring several world premieres.

• Waste Management – Significant expansion, showcasing smart collection, sorting, treatment, recycling, and Waste-to-Energy technologies.

• Water Management – Over 25 exhibiting companies offering Smart Water solutions: sustainable infrastructure for drinking water and wastewater, complete digitalization of monitoring and control processes, and energy-efficient, sustainable technologies.

• Urban Smart Expo – Innovations for the cities of the future: mobility, public lighting, Smart living, and digital governance. Each booth represented a promise for a more efficient, sustainable, and citizen-friendly city.
