Gore Street Powers Up Big Rock with LS Energy Batteries

- Gore Street Energy Storage Fund PLC has chosen LS Energy Solutions technology for a 200 MW/400 MWh energy storage facility in Imperial County, CA to improve grid reliability. This project will be composed of 137 AiON-ESS deployable containers and 1,300 AiON-SIS string inverters, set to become one of the largest energy storage installations in Imperial County. Construction begins soon, with operations expected in 2024.
Gore Street Energy Storage Fund PLC has chosen technology from LS Energy Solutions for a 200-MW/400-MWh energy storage project in Imperial County, California. The facility is designed to deliver resource adequacy and ancillary services to the CAISO market, improving the reliability of the grid. It will be composed of 137 all-in-one AiON-ESS containers and 1,300 LS modular 140 kVA AiON-SIS string inverters. It will be one of the largest energy storage installations in Imperial County and run at 100 MW of deliverability to supply 400 MWh. Gore Street acquired the Big Rock site in February 2023, and expects to begin construction soon. It is planned to be operational in the second half of 2024.
