Germany's Hep Global action in Poland with 100-MW solar purchase
- German solar designer Hep Global GmbH has obtained a 100-MW portfolio of Polish solar projects in a deal that notes its access right into the Central European nation's solar (PV) market.
The obtained package includes 16 individual projects located across various parts of Poland, Hep stated on Wednesday without supplying the value of the deal. The assets were offered by utility-scale Nebo Solar, which is a joint venture between project developer KRD Global Group and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm ID Energy Group.
Under the arrangement, Nebo Solar will finalise the growth of the schemes until they reach the read-to-build stage.
"Getting in the Polish market is a significant milestone for us, and we are thrilled for the opportunity to play an energetic function in the development of the solar PV industry in Poland," claimed Oleksandr Iakhnii, director M&A at Hep.
Since 2008, Guglingen-based Hep has actually developed a pipeline of over 5 GW in solar projects in the US-American, Canadian, Japanese as well as German solar markets. The business's passion in Poland comes amid assumptions that the country will broaden its 4.9-GW mounted solar fleet with an added 17.5 GW by 2026 to satisfy its decarbonisation goals.
