Germany Powers Up 32 MWp Solar-Plus-Storage Facility

• RheinEnergie AG is constructing Germany's largest 32 MWp solar park with 7 MWh battery storage. Subsidized 20 MWp of capacity will power 10,000 households, while remaining 12 MWp will be unsubsidized. RheinEnergie currently operates 57 MWp PV and 172 MW wind capacity across Germany.

RheinEnergie AG has begun constructing a 32 MWp solar park in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, which will be accompanied by a 7 MWh battery storage system. The solar plant, located near the Mueritz airfield in the communities of Laerz and Rechlin, is expected to be completed by October 2023 and will generate enough electricity to power 10,000 households. 20 MWp of the facility's capacity will be subsidized by the Federal Network Agency, while the remaining 12 MWp will be marketed without subsidies. RheinEnergie currently operates 28 photovoltaic systems with an installed capacity of 57 MWp, and 26 wind farms with a total capacity of 172 MW, across Germany.
