Funds overseen by Fiera Infrastructure and Palisade Infrastructure Group have finalized their acquisition of Amp US
- Amp Solar Group Inc, a Canadian clean energy firm also known as Amp Energy, announced on Monday that it has finalized the sale of its U.S. community solar business, Amp US Primary Holdings Inc.
The purchasing consortium is made up of funds managed by Fiera Infrastructure Inc, a subsidiary of Fiera Capital Corp (TSE:FSZ), and Palisade Infrastructure Group.
Amp US, now rebranded as PureSky Energy Inc and headquartered in Denver, Colorado, specializes in developing, owning, and managing U.S. community solar and storage projects. As of the announcement, PureSky Energy has a 200-MW DC portfolio comprising 39 active or in-progress projects, along with a substantial future project pipeline.
Brooks Kaufman, the Managing Director of Fiera Infrastructure, stated, "We are eager to support PureSky in its growth trajectory as it expands its solar energy and battery storage capabilities across existing and new markets, and fosters stronger ties with its clients and local communities."
The deal was initially declared in February by Amp Energy, which is backed by private equity firm Carlyle.
