FRV gets two 50-MW BESS projects in UK
- Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) said that it has acquired 2 50-MW battery energy storage space projects in the Midlands, UK.

UK solar and battery storage programmer RE Projects Development Limited (REPD) originated and serviced the plans before selling them to the Madrid-based renewables firm for an unrevealed sum.
Tyler Hill Renewables sourced the chance for FRV, as well as is assisting in the development process, FRV said.
Each of the sites will certainly feature a lithium-ion battery energy storage space systems (BESS) covering 1.01 hectares (2.5 acres). FRV expects the projects to reach ready-to-build status in the 3rd quarter of 2023.
The procurement includes in five BESS projects that FRV has in procedure, unfinished and in development, the renewables firm claimed. It also comes right after FRV partnered with Tyler Hill Partners to create a BESS-focused platform FRV TH Powertek Limited in the UK. The new company will certainly aim to deliver up to 1 GW/2 GWh of battery projects over a duration of five years, the business stated at the time.
FRV belongs to Abdul Latif Jameel Energy.
