All five projects will integrate wind turbines, solar PV, batteries and power-to-X (PtX) innovations, with the X here being hydrogen manufacturing. Eurowind stated that it is likewise dealing with how to make biogas and also hydrogen refining enter into the parks.

The 5 energy centres are Energipark Aalborg, Energipark Norrkoer Enge II, Energipark Overgaard, Energipark Gasse Hede and Energipark Vollum Enge.

The Aalborg project will certainly be released initially, according to the announcement.

Eurowind has up until now finished numerous action in the project development. It authorized agreements with landowners to use the land for all 5 projects, and obtained permits to place wind turbines as well as solar farms at several of the websites.

Of the five, Energipark Overgaard currently has wind turbines in operation, and Eurowind is currently awaiting for authorization to mount a 700-hectare-plus (1,730 acres) solar farm there.

"Solar PV and wind turbines will constantly be the beginning point for us. They create the green power that is used in the various other parts of the energy facility. That part remains in area," claimed Eurowind chief executive officer Jens Rasmussen.

"We are also collaborating with battery modern technology, due to the fact that in this manner we can give balance solutions to the power grid. [...] We also trust electrolysis as part of all our energy centers as well as our medium-sized energy parks. We are relatively advanced in the work with PtX as a natural part of a park, Rasmussen added.

Eurowind has built several hybrid solar-plus-wind installations in Denmark. The company claimed that it is currently composing plans to upgrade the hybrids to energy centres in a few years.
