EnfraGen to get 188-MW sustainable portfolio in Panama, Costa Rica

  • EnfraGen LLC, a Latin America-focused renewables and also grid business, on Friday introduced a deal to acquire a 188-MW portfolio of wind, solar and also hydropower (HPP) plants in Panama and Costa Rica.

The joint venture of GlenFarne Energy Transition LLC and also Switzerland-based private markets investment supervisor Partners Group Holding AG (SWX: PGHN) will acquire the assets from Colombian power firm Celsia SA, part of residential empire Grupo Argos. Financial details were not offered.

The target bundle includes six assets, specifically the 119-MW Dos Mares Hydro Complex in Panama comprised of 3 run-of-river HPPs, the Prudencia and also Divisa solar parks in Panama amounting to 19.7 MW and the 49.5-MW Guanacaste Wind Farm in Costa Rica. When the assets enter into EnfraGen's portfolio, the business will have a functional and in-construction fleet of over 2.1 GW across Chile, Panama, Colombia, and also Costa Rica.
