Energiekontor Hits FID on 60MW German Solar PV Project

Energiekontor has reached financial close on a 60MW solar park in the district of Märkisch-Oderland in Brandenburg, Germany. The Letschin PV project will generate around 68GWh of green electricity from the first full year of operation, and has a long-term private power purchase agreement with a German industrial company. Construction is set to begin during third quarter 2024, with commissioning scheduled for first quarter 2025. Energiekontor also has the option to develop solar parks with a total capacity of 170MW in Germany and 55MW in France. The company is expanding its own wind and solar park portfolio in order to stabilise income from its power generation segment.
