Enel Green Power begins on 204-MW PV project in Chile
- Enel Green Power Chile has actually started developing the 204-MW Domeyko solar photovoltaic or pv (PV) park in the Chilean area of Antofagasta.

The Chilean renewables unit of Italian power major Enel SpA (BIT: ENEL) said on Thursday it will certainly spend a total amount of USD 164 million (EUR 139.3 m) in the project.
Domeyko will certainly consist of 472,590 bifacial mono-crystalline PV components, occupying a location extending 700 hectares (1,729.74 acres).
The business expects to have the solar park up and running by July 2021.
When in operation, the new plant will certainly can producing some 589 GWh of electrical energy annually, sufficient to balance out the release some 439,000 tonnes of co2 (CO2) discharges every year.
The project belongs to a 2-GW renewables profile that the business looks for to carry out by 2022. Half of that capacity is already incomplete, Enel Green Power Chile noted.
