Endesa Expands Solar Portfolio with 131.2 MW in Spain

Endesa SA has begun constructing three solar farms with a total capacity of 131.22 MW in Andalusia, Spain. The projects, named Envatios I, II, and III, are being developed by Endesa's renewables unit, Enel Green Power Espana. These solar farms will be located in Seville province, adding to Endesa's existing 11 solar plants in the region.

Once operational, the new solar farms are expected to generate around 257 GWh per year, enough to power approximately 65,000 households. Endesa is also finalizing the construction of the 86.18-MW Aljarafe solar project in Seville province and is exploring further renewable energy projects in Andalusia. The company currently operates a total of 71 renewable power production facilities in the region, including solar, wind, biomass, and hydroelectric plants.
