  • Spanish building and construction group Elecnor SA (BME: ENO) is in Panama now where it is constructing 40 MW of solar farms, it said Thursday.

The firm is working under a EUR-27-million (USD 30.3 m) contract for AES Panama, a subsidiary people electrical utility giant AES Corp (NYSE: AES).

The EPC agreement encompasses work with 4 solar projects-- Pese, Mayorca, Cedro and also Caoba. All four plants will certainly be geared up with bifacial components, a novelty on the Panamanian solar market, according to Elecnor.

2 of the 4 projects have currently been settled. The rest of the jobs will be completed by the end of 2022.
