CPS Energy intends to add 900 MW PV

- Municipally-owned energy CPS Energy of San Antonio, Texas, has launched a Request for Proposal (RFP) to add up to 900 MW of solar, 50 MW of energy storage and also 500 MW of firming ability. It belongs to the firm's new "Flex Power Bundle" initiative.

The fully-integrated electrical and gas firm intends to replace some aging generation capacity and introduce new technologies as firming ability to offer continuous energy integrity for the San Antonio community.
The RFP seeks both big and also tiny alternatives for solar, energy storage and technologies that give dependability, with reactions anticipated from big, well-known firms to regional, small companies. In addition, community solar as well as storage space are also welcome innovations, so everybody from big renewable providers to property customers have an opportunity to take part-- directly or indirectly, states the company.
