Cordelio to repower 20-MW McHenry storage system in Vermont

- Canadian renewable power producer Cordelio Power has selected US energy storage solutions company KORE Power to provide battery energy storage space systems for the repowering of its 20-MW/44-MWh McHenry standalone storage center in Waterbury, Vermont.

KORE Power has won an order to construct the nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) deep-rack solutions for the center in the PJM Interconnection. The systems are anticipated to be delivered in the very first quarter of 2024.
The financial information of the agreement were not divulged.
"KORE innovation will certainly help Cordelio's center maintain the grid with summer heatwaves and also polar cold wave," claimed KORE Power's CEO Lindsay Gorrill.
Toronto-based Cordelio, totally owned by Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, is an independent power manufacturer with a present development pipe of more than 18 GW of clean power projects.
