- Brazilian power energy Copel (BVMF: CPLE6) has taken into operations the first three units, totalling 3-MWp, of its Bandeirantes solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in the North area of Parana state.

Situated in the municipality of Bandeirantes, this preliminary phase consists of 6,900 PV panels spread out across an area of 10.35 hectares (25.57 acres), Parana's state federal government revealed on Tuesday.
Local firm Sistechne Participacoes Societarias Ltda was Copel's companion for the project.
Along with these three arrays, the utility plans to begin power generation on three more before the end of the year. As soon as all 6 PV ranches are up and running, the center will certainly have a complete set up capacity of 5.36 MWp, which suffices power to fulfill the need of some 10,000 individuals.
The PV plant operates under a small self-consumption dispersed generation (DG) remote program model.
