- Colombian utility Empresas Publicas de Medellin (EPM) has started a tendering process to choose an engineering working as a consultant that will oversee work with its 83-MW Tepuy solar farm project in the division of Caldas, centre-west Colombia.
The competitors is open to domestic and global business, and the due date to submit the deals ends on May 2, EPM said. The contracted bidder will supervise the project during layout, building and construction, setting up as well as appointing phases.
This will certainly be the first of the agreements to be awarded for the Tepuy project, the utility claimed.
The solar farm will be found in the municipality of La Dorada. The strategy is to mount over 200,000 bifacial photovoltaic panels of 540 Wp to 550 Wp, on an area of around 220 hectares (543.6 acres).
The Tepuy development was among 11 solar projects to secure a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) in Colombia's 2021 renewables auction last October.
