Chile's renewables increase output by 23.7% y/y in Aug

- Chile produced 31.8% of its power in August from renewable resources, Chilean energy commission CNE stated in the latest report on the industry.

The country's renewables produced 2,238 GWh gross of electricity, which stood for an increase of 7.9% contrasted to July, and also up by 23.7% year-on-year.
The renewables share in July was 28.7%.

The overall net set up renewable energy capacity in Chile's system increased to 10,398 MW in August from 10,132 MW in July.
