Cemig to acquire risk in 18.5-MWp solar DG portfolio in Brazil
- Brazilian energy services firm Cemig Solucoes Inteligentes em Energisa SA, much better called Cemig SIM, has signed an agreement to acquire a 49% stake in an 18.5-MWp of solar distributed generation (DG) plants.
Cemig SIM's moms and dad, domestic utility Cia Energetica de Minas Gerais SA - Cemig (BVMF: CMIG4), said on Friday that the bargain is valued at around BRL 37.2 million (USD 7.8 m/EUR 7.2 m), subject to rate adjustments.
The prospective purchaser struck the agreement with local companies G2 Energia e Empreendimentos Imobiliarios Ltda as well as Apolo Empreendimentos e Energia Ltda to acquire the minority risk in six special function vehicles that hold 6 mini-plants.
The plants are located in the town of Lavras, in Brazil's state of Minas Gerais. They function and also serve some 1,800 household, commercial and also reduced voltage industrial clients, according to the news.
The closing of the transaction needs to be authorized by the antitrust regulatory authority CADE.
