- Latin American power producer and representative Celsia SA on Friday inaugurated a 3-MW solar farm in Colombia it built for the neighborhood unit of Canada-headquartered oil-and-gas exploration business Parex Resources Inc (TSE: PXT).

The plant is located in the Colombian division of Casanare, specifically at the Kitaro/Akira area onshore field that Parex has actually been using to perform hydrocarbon explorations for over 10 years, Celsia said in Friday's press release.
The project took up some 3 hectares (7.4 acres) of land and also utilized 7,200 solar PV panels and also 30 inverters. The solar farm is integrated right into the Kitaro/Akira area's power mix, making it possible for Parex to create its very own power at competitive costs, added Celsia.
