CEE Group, a German renewable energy asset manager, has purchased a 102.5-MWp solar photovoltaic project in San Pedro del Pinatar, Spain. The solar farm is currently under construction and is expected to be connected to the grid in the second half of 2025. The acquisition was made through CEE Group's CEE Renewable Fund 8 (CEE RF8), which was launched in late 2023.
The seller of the project, described as a European corporation with experience in renewable energy, is also the EPC contractor for the project. This is the second acquisition for CEE RF8, following the purchase of a solar farm in Germany earlier this year. The fund, with a planned volume of EUR 750 million, will invest in solar, wind, energy storage assets, and hybridisation projects. The CEE Group currently operates 47 onshore wind farms and 54 photovoltaic projects in Europe.
