Bulgaria Opens First Renewables+Storage Tender

The Government of Bulgaria has opened a public consultation on its first renewable energy tender programme, which includes a grant programme to subsidise the development of at least 570 MW of renewable energy and 150 MW of battery storage projects. The grants will cover up to 50% of the cost of the storage component and will be open to companies from all sectors excluding agriculture, forestry and fishery. This programme is part of the country's efforts to reach 27% of gross final energy consumption from renewable sources by 2030. The consultation will be open until November 6.
