Building group inks 10MW solar energy play

• Multiplex its UK operations and building and construction sites with 100% clean electrical power from 2023

Building and construction group Multiplex Europe has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) covering 10MW of output from a 15MW solar farm to be constructed in the UK.

The PPA, with additionality, is for 10 gigawatt-hours a year of clean electricity, enough to power Multiplex's UK procedures, including building and construction sites.

The renewable energy plant is targeted to be commissioned in the initial quarter of 2023.

The designer and the solar farm is undisclosed.

The company PPA is one of the initial of its kind for construction in the UK, where a building player will certainly acquire sustainable electrical energy straight from a committed renewable resource producer.
