Buckeye gets 270-MW solar project in Texas
- US petroleum distributor Buckeye Partners LP has obtained a 270-MW solar project in Texas from OCI Solar Power LLC, the business said today.

The shovel-ready project, called Project Parker, is located on 2 surrounding websites in Falls County.
Buckeye intends to start project layout and construction later in 2021, with conclusion targetted for the initial quarter of 2023. The liquid petroleum items pipeline operator in July purchased a 180-MW solar project in Texas from programmer Belltown Power Texas LLC.
"As we continue to advance right into a more diversified energy firm, purchases like Project Parker stand for an opportunity to invest in growth that aligns with our organization and also ESG [ecological, social and administration] priorities, and also leverages our current competence and also capabilities," the company's head of state and also chief executive Clark Smith claimed in today's statement.
The seller is a San Antonio, Texas-based subsidiary of South Korea's OCI Co Ltd (KRX:010060). Financial details of the acquisition were not given.
