Bruc Gets EUR 600m to Fuel 8.5GW Home Wind, Solar

- Bruc secures EUR 600 million to fund 8.5 GW of wind and solar projects across Spain, with financiers including Banco Santander, ING, Instituto de Credito Oficial, BNP Paribas and Intesa Sanpaolo. Financing to cover a substantial part of investments with energy storage projects also being developed.

Bruc, a Spanish renewables investor and owner, has secured a financing agreement to fund the construction of 8.5 GW of solar photovoltaic and wind power projects. The agreement saw seven entities extend EUR 600 million, with major financiers including Banco Santander, ING, Instituto de Credito Oficial, BNP Paribas and Intesa Sanpaolo. The projects are located in five regions across Spain and include both wind and solar, as well as wind and solar hybrid schemes. The financing will cover a substantial part of the investments needed to build and commission the portfolio, with Bruc also developing several energy storage projects.
