- Brazilian electrical power distributor Energisa SA (BVMF: ENGI11) revealed just recently that it has actually gotten the consent from power sector regulator Aneel to turn on 70 MWp of solar power plants.
Called Rio do Peixe I as well as II, the photovoltaic or pv (PV) parks needed a mixed investment of BRL 334.5 million (USD 64.5 m/EUR 65m). The plants were integrated in the state of Paraiba where they created around 600 jobs throughout the building and construction phase. Both solar farms are approved under the International REC Requirement (I-REC).
With these plants, Energisa has its first centralised generation enterprise in commercial operation, it claimed. The firm already has actually dispersed generation solar energy systems in operation.
Over the next five years, Energisa prepares to market the PV parks' output on the free market through its (re)energisa brand.
