Brazil's Ceara okays 230-MW solar project

- The state council on the atmosphere of the Brazilian state of Ceara, particularly Coema, accepted last week the Environmental Impact Study (EIA) for a 230-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project.

Coema has oked the Panati and also Sitia PV project possessed by local company SER-- Sistemas de Energia Renovavel.
To be situated in the city of Jaguaretama, the solar asset will include six 30-MW solar farms-- Panati 1 via 6-- and also two 25-MW centers named Sitia 1 and 2.
The project currently has to obtain an installation permit in order to develop itself as an independent power producer (IPP). Coema's approval is a problem for Semace, the environmental superintendency of Ceara state, to issue said licence, the environmental company mentioned in the press release.
