Brazilian Sanitation Firm Goes Solar with Prime Energy

Brazilian energy firm Prime Energy has signed a contract to supply 639 MWh of solar power per year to Ambiental Parana, a concessionaire of the Aegea sanitation group in Parana state. The solar power is being delivered from two PV parks in Nova Esperanca since June, meeting 13% of Ambiental Parana's energy consumption and offsetting 276 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually. Prime Energy, a supplier of Shell Group services, is helping Aegea achieve its goal of sourcing 98% of energy from renewable sources.
