- Brazil's power field regulatory authority Aneel accepted on Tuesday the continuing to be winning projects from the A-5 tender held on October 14, 2022, for a combined solar capacity of 100 MW.

The approvals were approved to the Janauba projects each with a capacity of 50 MW.
A-5 awarded around 557.5 MW of wind, solar, hydro, biomass-based power as well as waste-to-energy schemes. Among the winners, solar power had a significant share with 200 MW throughout 4 projects.
Aneel mentioned that the awarded schemes represent around BRL 2.9 billion (USD 560.60 m/EUR 517.11 m) in future investments.
Under the terms of the auction, wind and solar protected power purchase agreements (PPAs) with a 15-year term, while the other sources have a 20-year duration.
Power supply is set to begin on January 1, 2027.
