Blue Elephant Energy GmbH, a German solar and wind farm operator, is moving forward with a 12-MWp solar project in Mallorca. The project, located near the municipality of Binissalem, is expected to be completed by September and will generate around 18,000 MWh of electricity annually, enough to power over 7,200 local homes. The solar park will consist of 17,700 bifacial Canadian Solar modules and is being constructed by Goldbeck Solar GmbH.

Blue Elephant acquired the Binissalem PV project from F&S solar concept GmbH in 2023, expanding their Iberian portfolio to 262 MW. Miguel Velasco, head of PC Iberoamerica at Goldbeck Solar, stated that the project will help strengthen the region's energy independence and promote renewable energy in Mallorca. The groundbreaking ceremony marks a significant step towards achieving these goals.
