German renewables company BayWa r.e. AG has acquired a 46-MWp solar photovoltaic park in southeastern Romania. The deal for the White Gate PV park in Constanta County was announced by law firm Filip & Company, with financial details undisclosed. The park was sold by White Gate Industrial Park, a local company controlled by entrepreneurs.
BayWa r.e. is a global developer, service provider, PV wholesaler, energy trader, and energy solutions provider. Majority owned by German group BayWa AG, the company operates in 31 countries across Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific. A fund operated by Energy Infrastructure Partners (EIP) holds a 49% stake in BayWa r.e.
