Azure Power plugs in 90 MW of solar in India

- Indian solar programmer as well as power manufacturer Azure Power Global Ltd (NYSE: AZRE) introduced today that it has actually commissioned 90 MW of solar sites in India's state of Assam.

The project, which Azure states is the largest of its kind in India's northeastern state, involved building of a solar plant throughout four districts in Assam-- Udalguri, Kamrup, Nagaon, and Cachar.
Azure Power commissioned the plant in phases, with 25 MW in Cachar being the current to find online, the company stated.
The solar farm runs under a 25-year power purchase arrangement (PPA) with Assam Power Distribution Company Limited, with a tariff evaluated INR 3.34 (USD 0.044/ EUR 0.041) per kWh.
