Aura Power has achieved two major milestones for renewable energy projects in Italy and the UK. The company has received a permit to build a 200-MW/800-MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Italy and a 49.9-MW solar park in England. The BESS site near Maddaloni in Caserta province in southern Italy will have a storage capacity that can power 35,000 homes at peak demand periods, enhancing the grid’s stability while the Horton solar farm is capable of supplying 21% of East Devon's homes. Both projects are part of Aura Power's 1-GW battery storage pipeline in Italy and 80-MW solar project awaiting planning decisions in the UK.

• Building works for the 200-MW/800-MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Italy outside the town of Maddaloni in Caserta province are due to commence in 2025.
• Once up and running, the battery will store enough electricity to power 35,000 homes at peak demand periods.
• The 49.9-MW solar project in East Devon, UK, will provide enough energy for 21% of East Devon’s homes.
• Construction start dates for this project have yet to be set.
