- Renewables firm Atlas Renewable Energy introduced last week that several of its photovoltaic or pv (PV) plants can currently provide renewable energy certifications (I-RECs) as well as regional renewable energy certificates (REC Brasil).

With this brand-new qualification, Atlas comes to be the initial in the nation to provide REC Brasil certificates from solar energy plants.
The authorisation was provided by Brazil's Totum Institute, the local issuer of RECs in Brazil recognized under the International REC Standard (I-REC). In order to obtain authorization to issue REC Brasil, the renewable energy generators have to confirm they adhere to UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Today, Atlas holds among the biggest solar energy profiles in the South American nation, with virtually 1 GW of installed capability in between tasks unfinished and in operation.
