Aquila connects 50-MW Andalusia solar farm, makes large prepare for Spanish region

- Aquila Clean Energy, a unit of German investment company Aquila Capital, said on Tuesday that it has connected a 50-MW solar farm to the Spanish grid.

It claimed that the facility will certainly reach a production output of 94 GWh, enough to power over 24,000 homes.
The new plant is located in Jaen province in Andalusia, a key region for the wind and also solar designer as far as its operate in Spain goes. Aquila Clean Energy plans to invest EUR 2 billion (USD 2.15 bn) in Andalusia, which will enable it to account for 15% of the 20 GW of renewables capacity that the regional government is targeting, the firm claimed.
Presently, Aquila Clean Energy has 180 MW in operation in Andalusia.
