  • The central Electronic Limited has advertised a tender for qualifying companies to supply 5MW multi-crystalline PV Modules to several Maharashtra projects.

CEL has once again requested interested companies to tender to supply five-megawatt multi-crystalline solar PV modules. The modules 72 Si Collar cells will be delivered to the Maharashtra district substations. 

Selected vendors will need to supply multi-crystalline modules with a minimum of 335Wp all of which should be 72 silicon solar cells. Lucky bidders will be expected to design, supply, and assemble, manufacture, and test the modules. 

Interested parties should submit their interest by January 13, 2019. They will also need to submit a money deposit of Rupees 10 lakh. The tender will be opened on the same day. 

To qualify to bid, one must be a manufacturer of PV modules in India. They also need to have installed an automated line facility capable of generating 30MWp each year. Besides, a successful company will be one that has manufactured photovoltaic solar modules between 325-350Wp. These should either be Mon crystalline or multi solar firm with a turnover of Rupees, 9 Crores in the previous 3 financial years. 

Note that a few weeks ago, CEL issued a tender with a capacity of the 44-megawatt grid-connected solar project. The project has a capacity of 250kw – 10, 000 kW at several substations in Maharashtra. In the program, small power plants with a capacity of 0.25MW to 10 MW will be established on both unused and open land in Maharashtra. This tender will be closed on 30th December 2019.
