Ameren to acquire 150-MW Illinois solar project from Invenergy
- US utility Ameren Missouri has struck a bargain to obtain a 150-MW solar project that is being created by Chicago, Illinois-based Invenergy LLC in the latter's house state.

The Missouri-focused electric utility held by Ameren Corp (NYSE: AEE) revealed the arrangement on Wednesday without offering monetary details. The name of the target project was not divulged, either.
Located in the southeastern parts of Illinois, the solar photovoltaic (PV) plant might begin commercial procedures as early as 2024. Its commissioning will depend on the timely issuance of regulative authorizations, the purchaser said.
The purchase aligns with the objectives set in Ameren's 2020 incorporated resource plan, which imagines an investment of USD 4.5 billion (EUR 4bn) to back the release of 3.1 GW of renewables capacity by 2030. By 2040, the utility intends to have 5,400 MW of installed renewable resource plants.
The offer is subject to closing problems and also governing clearance.
